Community Conversation on Economy to be Held at Franklin College

Franklin College will host the sixth lecture in its 175th anniversary lecture series with guest speakers William D. Cohan and George Melloan participating in a moderated community conversation on Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Branigin Room of the Napolitan Student Center.

"A Conversation on the Economy" will cover Cohan's and Melloan's opposing views of what ails the American economy. It will be moderated by Pulliam School of Journalism Director John Krull.

Cohan, a former investment banker, authored the New York Times bestseller "House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall Street." Melloan is a retired Wall Street Journal deputy opinion editor and author of forthcoming book "The Great Money Binge: Why Washington Must Be Stopped."

Founded 175 years ago in 1834, Franklin College is a residential four-year undergraduate liberal arts institution with a scenic, wooded campus located 20 minutes south of downtown Indianapolis.
