Bronze Star Recipient to Speak at Franklin College on Veterans Day

Franklin College will host the fifth lecture in its 175th anniversary lecture series with guest speaker Lt. Col. Bradley J. Fishel, USAF, retired, on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 11:30 a.m. in Branigin Room of the Napolitan Student Center. This is the fourth year the college has hosted a Veterans Day luncheon to honor veterans and active duty personnel.

After graduating from Franklin College in 1987 with a degree in psychology, Fishel went on to join the United States Air Force. He served for over two decades, earning a Bronze Star for his work in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his lecture, "Rebuilding Two Nations: Boots on the Ground in Iraq and Afghanistan." he will share his experiences and insights gained from his extensive military experience in those nations.

Founded 175 years ago in 1834, Franklin College is a residential four-year undergraduate liberal arts institution with a scenic, wooded campus located 20 minutes south of downtown Indianapolis.
